What I liked and didn't like at the Morgane Le Fay Sample Sale
, New York, NY
This is supposed to be “a good sample sale” and my lukewarm remarks could be just a case of “unmet high expectations”. It’s hard not to fall in love with the designer’s delicate dresses. Walking around the minimalistic white Soho shop, an excellent backdrop for the designer’s style, I tried hard to find something to buy to no avail. Maybe the cold weather had something to do with it, maybe the slightly shapeless dresses are not the style I am looking for right now. I couldn’t stop admiring the dresses, but couldn’t picture myself wearing any of them. I guess my pragmatic me, still hanging on to some January resolutions couldn’t find any practical use for them.
I was less impressed with the trousers and the outwear collection that didn’t justify their high prices.
If you are young or skinny (or both!) and your social life requires an ostrich skirt, don’t hesitate to stop by this sale. Do check out the spending limit on your credit card before you go, these dreamy dresses don’t come cheap. I would file this sample sale under #beautiful clothes #good location #expensive clothes #not practical
