Stamatis (the Original)

I’ve eaten at both Stamatis restaurants. I recall spending alot more money at the Stamatis on Broadway, but that’s probably because I went with a Greek friend who wanted to introduce me to Greek cuisine and ordered practically everything on the menu. At the original Stamatis on 23rd, a different friend and I shared a meal for like $30. That included appetizers for both of us and our dinners. It probably would have cost more if we had ordered booze, but we would have been able to afford it! Anyway, the Stamatis on 23rd is cheezily decorated but is cuter than the stark white Stamatis on Broadway. Restaurant location: 3114 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11106. Tel. 718-204-8964.
