Big Drop Warehouse Sale Review
, New York, NY
The Upper East Side branch of Big Drop, a contemporary womenswear boutique, is closing down at the end of the month and, well, their prices are taking a big drop. The Big Drop NYC warehouse sale, located in the back of the 1321 3rd Avenue store, is stocked with an assortment of emerging and established designers at up to a 75% discount.
I saw pieces from Cameo, Generation Love, Gilber Gilmore, Sanctuary, Wildfox, Free People, For Love and Lemons, and Zoa, but none were so well represented as Jennifer Hope.
Most items are priced individually, and there is a larger variety in prices than you tend to see at most sample sales. On the cheap end there are belts, hats, and gloves for $5; the most expensive item was a dress for $300. Most dresses ranged from $39 to $200. Skirts ranged from $39 to $139, and shirts were $25 to $49. Sweaters were from $69 to $100.
All jeans were $40, and I saw premium brands such as Current/Elliot, Hudson, 7 For All Mankind, 3×1, and 18th Amendment. There were pairs in sizes 24 through 32, although the stock was limited in many sizes.
Pictures were not allowed, but I located pictures of some of the offerings online. The sale will run through Monday the 29th of June.
