Shopping at this week’s Mavi sale is more like browsing a small boutique than a normal sample sale. The stock is well-organized, and the salespeople are eager to help the shoppers navigate the offerings.
There are two racks of $25 jeans in sizes 24 through 30. Most are in a skinny or boot cut, with a significant amount of stretch. There are both light and dark washes, as well as a handful of novelty patterns.
Denim jackets, in sizes XS through L, cost $30. There are light weight spring jackets as well as faux-shearling lined designs for Fall.Winter coats and trench coats are $40, but there are barely any left.
A similarly small number of denim skirts and dresses are available for $15. There is a table with boxes of shorts; solid-colored t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts are $10, while tank tops are $5.
Accessories are in boxes on the floor. There were three bags available, two small clutches for $15 and one messenger bag for $25. The boxes also contain $10 belts and hats, and $5 scarves.
The sale organizers have extended the sale through Wednesday, the 24th. They will not be restocking and there will be no further markdowns.
