You Deserve a Pashmina, or two, or three...

15 December 2007

Pashmina’s are one of the poshes accessories around. Pashmina’s are commonly meant to refer to a pashmina shawl, but there are other things made from pashmina fabric, such as scarves, shawls and blankets. I advocate every female to procure herself a pashmina, because they are so luxurious.

At you can buy pashmina shawls that are either $49.00 or $53.00. They offer over 70 colors to choose from, as well as the option to embroider or print a design on your shawl. The printed designs cost the same, but the embroidery costs a bit more.

At a pure pashmina wrap will cost you $69.99. A pashmina wrap that is blended with silk (70% cashmere pashmina and 30% silk) is $49.99. And with the silk, the texture has a nice sheen to it.

A pashmina shawl is a gift that you will keep and use forever. You will find uses for it from the start of the fall, well through the winter. If you are ever searching for a meaningful but useful gift for a friend, daughter, or niece – consider a pashmina. These would also make great gifts for bridesmaids. If you have several special people to buy for (like bridesmaids, or two sisters, three nieces) a pashmina is a great gift because while each person is receiving the same gift, you can personalize it by picking out a color specifically for them.

A pashmina is never not in fashion, it’s very comfortable, and it can be worn in so many different ways.

I suggest getting a plain colored pashmina, in a color that will match the majority of what colors you usually use. If you aren’t sure, just trek up/over to your closet and look at what color is most prominent in there. You may not want a pashmina in that exact color, but a color that will compliment that color will be great.

There is almost no event that you can’t wear a pashmina to, isn’t that great? You can dress these up or down, and it will always lend your outfit a sense of refined elegance. With a white sweater and jeans, a pashmina worn as a shawl or scarf is cute, but you can also drape one over you for a night on the town in a sparkly dress.

Pashmina is cashmere, it is in fact the highest grade of cashmere you can get. But if you want a more affordable pashmina, you can get varying degrees of wool ratios in your pashmina.

Ciao for now!

I do love the peachy Pashmina Wrap and I do like The Pashmina Store as much as I enjoy the others like Cashmere Boutique, Yours Elegantly that offers free shipping and a gift and I also enjoy shopping at Blue Fly. All these stores are comparable in quality and have excellent Pashmina Cashmere Scarves and Wraps. It just depends on availability, colors, pricing and customer service.
