WHAT: Williamsburg Fashion Weekend

WHY: No need to make sure your name is on the list to attend this two-day fashion fest. All you need is $8 (plus a predilection for hipster styles) to view 14 local and national designers’ runway collections. Noname Collective, Rawan Rihani and other indie labels will showcase their pieces in nontraditional formats—expect choreographed dances, mixed-media installations and after-parties on both nights with live performances from bands like Food Stamps, DubKnowDub and Magic Report. Like what you see? Stop by Sodafine (119 Grand St between Berry and Wythe Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn; sodafine.com) on Sunday 19 between 1 and 6pm to take home Desira Pesta’s eco-friendly cowl-neck tops ($85), Jillian Lanier’s silk-and-linen-blend rompers ($98), and SDN ’40s-style dresses made of recycled hemp and organic cotton ($140).

WHEN: 9/17 – 9/18, F-Sat (8pm – 4am)

WHERE: Glasslands Gallery, 289 Kent Ave between South 1st and 2nd Sts, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
