I’ve been actively avoiding The Gap since high school, since it composed at least half of my wardrobe back then. It’s also gotten a bit more preppy than I am. Still, they have some nice stuff. Such as this Tweed Pleated Lady Coat. It was $148.00 and now it’s $119.00 now. Sizes are availble in XS through XL.

Tweed can easily look ‘mannish’, but with the princess seams on this coat, there’s no way you’ll be mistook for anything but a lady. This coat will hit you mid-thigh, and features three large round black buttons on the front just above the flattering empire collar. It is mostly wool – about 60%, 40% is viscose rayon. There are two side pockets, which is always handy – especially in cold weather.

Buying a couple high-quality coats is really in your best interest. In the winter months, people sometimes see more of you in a coat then in your actual outfits. And this heather gray coat would be especially easy to dress up with different accessories. This can easily give you a polished and classic look. For a more funky, weekend look – add an interesting and vibrant colored silk scarf, and a pair of hoop earrings.

My only complaint? I wish they offered this in more than just one color.

Ciao for now,

Jessica
