Lovers of Reese’s signature hyperfeminine 50s/60s resort wear aesthetic will find a lot to love here. A dress patterned in an abstract mix of white, green, magenta, and black is fitted through the bust with a full, crinoline-abetted skirt: very Betty Draper on Mad Men and, for just $99, a certifiable steal. Pair it with a dark faux fur chub ($145) for an unexpected, modern touch. A hot pink lace minidress ($99) shows a lot of leg, but little else, making it sexy yet ladylike, and perfect for holiday parties.
The size diversity is excellent for a sample sale, with plenty of options for sizes 2-12. The only area lacking was petites, confined to one small rack. The great thing about Reese’s designs is that they’re perfect for women of all ages. A fifty something mom might choose a floral sheath in muted shades of rust or charcoal ($99) – very Michelle Obama – while her daughter goes for a black fitted dress with discreet studs on the chest and front hem and pleats along the back ($149). This age diversity also means the sale is great holiday shopping. With pieces this perfect, however, you might want to give your gift before Christmas: the better to wear to holiday parties.
