The Purse of Many Colors

As much as I love my little black Chanel clutch, this monochromatic purse is on its way out! When spring comes, it will be busting out all over–with color! Designers like Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Pucci, Hogan, Louis Vuitton, Missoni, and Zac Posen are all coming out with purses that put Roy G. Biv to shame. Posen, Pucci and Dolce are all using variegated Python as their material, while Fendi is fronting a sunset hued, hand made suede purse. If you’re in love with Louis Vuitton’s monogram, then you’ll be floored when you see it in seafoam green and salmon pink! Of course if you can’t afford any of these (I know I can’t–but that’s what sample sales are for!) there is an alternative: take an old, white purse (bonus points for Python) and tie-dye it yourself! It’s a good rainy day project and a great way to be stylish without being broke…just remember to take your wallet out first!
