The Potential Power of a Pink Pout

Okay, I love alliteration. Guilty as charged. But a pink lip is girly, fun, and probably perfect for Valentine’s Day. While red speaks of classic love, or a vampish glee – pink is more innocent, and romantic in a crush-worthy sort of way. We’ve all moved on from dollar bin ‘whatever you can find’ lip balms from our younger days when smearing anything on your lips with a hint of color seemed like a good idea (much to the dismay of your Mom). Now it’s time to invest in some quality shine boosters. And I’m recommending you go pink.

Lancôme’s Juicy Tubes Smoothie Ultra Shine Lip Gloss for $17.50 at Macy’s are a favorite for a reason. They deliver the shine you want, in a long-lasting gleam of whatever color you pick. I have friends who boast at having almost every color. That’s how amazing they are. I’ve never tried one, but the colors of Dreamsicle, Pink Horizon, Simmer, and Tickled Pink all look like great pink shades. You’ll want a Juicy Tube on hand all the time. Keep one in your purse, always.

Even better? Right now you can get a bonus bag set full of goodies for free, if you purchase $28.50 at Lancôme. The full details are at Macys.com. What’s offered in the bag looks really great. There’s even a full-size lip color that you can layer under your Juicy Tube gloss.

Today I’m wearing Clinique Full Potential Lips’ Plump & Shine in Camisole from Macy’s. I feel like it gives me an effortless look of a beautiful pinky lip, which I can apply within (literally) seconds. It’s my lips, but better. They don’t look fake or overdone. This is a great gloss to to wear alone, or to layer with lip liners and other products. This color looks almost scarily frosty pink when you buy it. And I certainly don’t want to frost my lips. But when applied it’s got a clear pink shine that I love. It stays on, and it does not feel sticky in the least. There are lots of other colors to choose from, especially if you want a pink. Also try: Rose Boom, Pink Champagne, or Sugarplump (listed as a violet, but I think it will also pass for pinkish).

I’m crazy-excited about this deal I just found! If you want pink lips but are not sure what color, you can not go wrong with a sampling of four different colors from Stila. The Stila Lip Set for $25.00 (which is a total of a $70.00 value!) is available exclusively at Sephora.com. That means you need to get there, now. You’ll get four pink-colored lip products in a brown pouch. As stated on the website, you get: Lip Glaze in Grapefruit (frosted pink), a Glaze Lip Liner in Pink (soft pink), It Gloss in Smashing (shimmering bright pink), and a Lip Glaze Stick in Fig (vibrant pink).

Now, all you need to do is find someone to kiss! Although, with lips so pretty, you may not have to search for long. I’m just sayin’!

Ciao for now,

Jessica
