This event is hosted by Shelly and Renee Productions and boasts up to 80% off the retail price on the designer’s evening wear and cocktail dresses. Elie Tahari Sample Sale

Calling all professional women and/or women with a timeless sense of style! The Elie Tahari Sample Sale kicks off next week and promises up to 75% off the MSRP on plenty of must-haves. The sale takes places at C21 edition and lasts all week long. In the past, Elie Tahari Sample Sales have featured a “lunchtime flash sale,” but we’re not sure if they’ll do that again. It may be worth penciling it in a visit during your lunch hour, though, especially if you’re already stationed near the Financial District.

Norma Kamali One Day Sale

Speaking of flash sales, this Norma Kamali Sale lasts for one day only — Wednesday March 9. Merchandise starts at $50 and tops out at $100, though some of their one-of-a-kind pieces will be priced individually. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Norma Kamali designs often lean unusual, playing with shapes, negative space and interesting cutouts. This one is for the fashion brave!

J. Mendel Sample Sale

If you couldn’t find a cocktail dress at the Naeem Khan sale, perhaps you’ll have more luck at J. Mendel. While you’re at it, pick up some fur or other accessories to make your outfit complete. Merchandise is marked up to 75% off retail prices. It’s a good week to be a sample sale shopper in New York, Stylish City readers. This week we’ve got some hot deals from some hot brands. For example, there’s something for everyone in the family at the Dolce & Gabbana sample sale, which features clothing and accessories for men, women and children. You can also opt to give your home a makeover courtesy of the Ralph Lauren Home sale, or heat things up with some lingerie or swimwear from Cosabella. Also going on this week is the DKNY Sample Sale, which has merchandise for men and women and promises some killer deals.

Ralph Lauren Home Sample Sale

Is it time to spruce up your abode? If so, head over to the Ralph Lauren Home Sample Sale, which takes place in the Metropolitan North Pavilion. The sale kicked off on Friday and runs all weekend long and then through Monday. Up for grabs is furniture, lighting, decorative pillows and other various home accessories. Even if you’re not shopping for your own home, this could be a great place to stop and pick up gifts for others.

In fact, this sale boasts up to 70% off the retail price with tags starting at $13 and topping out at $80. If you’re not looking for lingerie, the sale also features loungewear and swimwear, perfect for the upcoming beach season.

Expect to find clothing and accessories, all at a discounted price. We anticipate lines at this sale, and perhaps some crowding, so fuel up.

With one day left of the Theory and Helmut Lang sample sale, there’s still plenty of merchandise available for purchase. We stopped by on Tuesday night to survey the offerings and were pleased with the impressive selection. Not only are there offerings for both men and women, but the sale features a variety of apparel types: outerwear, dress shirts, under shirts, vests, sweaters, breezy tops, pants, skirts, and plenty more.

Prices range from $50 (for tees, tops, sweaters and skirts) to $349 for shearling jackets, vests and fur. The rack of jackets, vests and furs is starting to look sparse, but there are still some standout options available. Based on original price tags and current posted prices, you can expect savings of up to 75% at this one.

In addition to samples, there are some slight irregulars. We inspected a lot of the items and didn’t notice too many issues. There were some threads loose in some of the sweaters and we saw one dress that had a broken zipper. If you’re worried about showing up and seeing a bunch of unwearable items, don’t fret too much. Just look through the items carefully and inspect everything before you purchase.
