Sure, maybe you don’t live on fashion trends, but you must know it’s Fashion Week. Why else would everyone you pass on the street be looking like they just stepped off the page of a fashion magazine?

So just for a moment, step back and take a deep breath. We will not entertain you with our best glamor fashion glitz reviews and schedules – hey, there are websites that do a fab job of that already. If you doubt us, check out live fashion shows at http://nyfw.com.

We are for democracy and feel there is space for everyone in the fashion world. For example, take a gander at NYPOST. We couldn’t have said it better “And along with the editors, buyers, models, makeup artists and celebrities who descend upon the city comes the usual litany of gripes from jaded fashionistas: There are too many C-listers and Instagram stars, the schedule is too chaotic.

Ralph Lauren is showing in Bedford, NY (gasp), Joseph Altuzarra and Thom Browne have left for Paris (double gasp), Narciso Rodriguez isn’t even bothering with a runway (We can’t even start on this…)”.

While the socialites and fashionistas were scrambling for the latest trends, we stopped by the Paragon Sports Warehouse sale. While it may not be the hippest venue in NYC, check out our post on our experience.

Keep in mind that once the Fashion Week concludes, the fabulous Sample Season starts – so get your chic on and get ready to realize your wildest fashion dreams.

Our pick for this week is Maiyet + Eberjey Sample Sale, because I sleep (and sometimes write these articles) in their comfy pajamas.

-The sale event is organized at the Paragon store on Broadway near 18^th Street, a nice area to explore after you finish shopping

-The “sample sale” is on the first floor, in the back; look for the sign “No regular priced merchandise beyond this point” Duh.

–The space was packed when I arrived at a few minutes before 5PM. I would assume it is less crowded in the morning.

–There are shoes, shoes, and more shoes. Well, technically sneakers, and other kind of sport shoes. For you, for your significant other and the kids. While the styles might not be the ones you saw on celebrities last week, you can definitely get a good deal on some good runners. Well, unless of course you wear size 10, and then you get the worst selection. Why is it that at every sale I have ever been to, size 10 has the worst selection?

–There are also tees, and jackets, swimwear, tennis rackets, and golf equipment, leggings, yoga mats. Well, you get the idea, a little bit of everything.

-The items I looked at were all discounted 50%, although the sale ad mentions deeper discounts. I assume there were racks I’ve missed, I wasn’t there for long, so everything is possible.

-For those with patience, there might be some gold hidden on the crowded racks. There were at least a couple of Moncler jackets I have seen discounted at 50%. The one in the photograph was a size 6, not my size unfortunately.

WHAT: Paragon Sports Warehouse Sale

WHY: 50-80% off activewear, footwear and gear at the Paragon Sports Warehouse Sale.

Paragon’s warehouse sale is the largest of its kind in New York City and will include a wide array of items such as footwear, sportswear, snowboarding, cycling and running among many others.

Some of the brands represented will be Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Spyder, The North Face, Asics, and select pieces from Moncler, Spyder, Head, Merrell, and Burton.
