WHAT: The Market at Brooklyn Museum

WHY: The Market at Brooklyn Museum is an outdoor market event that runs from April to November every Sunday in the museum's front plaza.

Stop by the market to shop one-of-a-kind, handmade items from local artisans and vendors. This weekly event features more than thirty local vendors offering artwork, jewelry, fashion, spirits, home, apothecary goods, and more.

WHAT: Housing Works' Design on a Dime Event

WHY: Design on a Dime, Founded in 2004 by Designer James Huniford, challenges interior designers to create unique room vignettes curated with donated merchandise from well-known home decor brands and artists. All merchandise in these one-of-a-kind rooms is then sold at charitable prices to design-savvy attendees at up to 80% off.

The three-day shopping event will take place both online as well as in-store at three of Housing Works’ retail locations – the Bookstore, Soho Thrift Shop and Gramercy Thrift Shop.
