0 WHAT: Miracle on Madison Avenue Sale
WHY: On December 7, get your credit card ready for a good cause. The 27th annual Miracle on Madison Avenue will take place benefiting The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, specifically their pediatric initiatives. Between 10am and 5am, participating businesses on Madison Avenue located between 57th and 86th Streets will donate 20 percent of their sales to the organization. Over 85 high end names, including Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Coach, La Perla, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, Brian Atwood, Alice + Olivia, and Hermes, will participate this year. There will be a maximum contribution cap of $15,000 per retailer. For a full list of retailers participating in the event, please click here.
Afterwards, you can cap off a long shopping trip with some decadent desserts from participating bakery, William Greenberg Desserts. Six teams of carolers will also be making their way up and down Madison Avenue to spread a little more holiday cheer.
The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, which was founded in 1946 and is the world’s oldest private cancer center, is a volunteer run organization that supports cancer research, educates the public on the importance of early detection and prevention, and promotes the well-being of cancer patients and their families.
With the season of giving upon us, consider the Miracle on Madison Avenue event an excuse to finish up your Christmas shopping while giving back to help an organization that does so much good for others.
