It’s been ten times around the sun for NY sample sales at The Stylish City, which in both dog and internet years makes us a venerable 70 years old. Let’s face it – it was time for a facelift.

Still, we felt something was missing. We always wanted to become the undisputed connoisseur of shopping value in the Big Apple, but now we want to also grow a tribe around our love for fashion and New York bargains. To that end, we introduce you to our vibrant Facebook group, and we want you buzzing with tips and unsponsored advice. We would love to hear from our community about sales and events near you. From Woodstock to Burning Man – Fashionistas Everywhere

Let’s face it – at one point or another, you probably needed a little inspiration on what to wear to work or play. Why not go retro and grab some ideas from the sexy sixties? Think festivals, protests, bohemian looks…and who can forget the iconic fashion styles of Woodstock?

If you have ever been to Burning Man, you know it is more of a community than a festival. But it’s also more than just a temporary community; think of it as a temporary city focusing strongly on personal style and fashion.

And there is new name in town you should know about.  Frances de Lourdes is a new brand of luxury tees and tanks in ultra soft, lightweight Italian cashmere and silks. The collection, designed and produced in New York City by 36-year-old Alejandra Echeverria, was born out of a desire for a refined classic tee,an elevated version of her favorite vintage staples – the perfect tee.

The collection, which is tightly edited in both color and silhouette, consists of eight (8) timeless luxury tees and tanks made from fine Italian cashmere and silks.
