You actually thought we’d tell you if we had work done? Well, unlike some celebs, we are okay with spilling the beans on any sudden new changes in our appearance.
Though we haven’t had work done yet, it is in our future. Today we just wanted to share that we are redesigning The Stylish City website.
Our goal is to make the site really easy to use and more well rounded, too. I know you already come here for the sample sales information, but we want you to come for those and then stay for the content. We go beyond the paid celebrity endorsements of a trend or brand to find out if it’s worth spending your money on it.
How can you help in our redesign launch? Be a good citizen and give us your input. If you are here, we know you’re an educated shopper, so do share your wisdom with our other readers.
The new format is scheduled to go live on February 2nd. Don’t be a stranger.

It’s January, time for new resolutions. We all want to be slimmer, wealthier, happier, more loved in the New Year. I was just wondering, what is your one resolution you really want to keep this year?

Hanukkah is over, Christmas is around the corner, but all I can think about is New Year’s Eve. Ever since I was a child I liked the idea of new beginning, and bidding farewell to a year gave me the feeling I could “archive” certain memories. Oh yeah, and the resolutions, we’ll leave those for another poll. Right now I want to know if you are as excited as I am about the first night of 2013, or you think it’s just another night.

As you might know, life got a little complicated here at the site. We had to change our name, which in turn lost us our traffic and our 1,500 facebook friends. We’ve had to hire people to help us save the site itself, send emails to remind people we exist, create new marketing materials… the list goes on.
We’ve all heard the expression, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” Good expression, but it sometimes doesn’t help me go from being angry, scared, and powerless to finding the strength to turn things around and feel the joy again in what I do. I had been struggling with finding that magical turning point when my eyes happened to have glanced at the umbrella I received from the Museum of Modern Art as part of its 20th anniversary celebration (Thank you MOMA!). That’s it! No matter how hard it rains outside, I have to create my own blue sky. You should do the same; place yourself beneath blue sky even in the wettest of weather. Create your own little happy universe, and eventually the rain will stop
