Shecky Event

Not Worth the Money.  

As promised, Tuesday night I made it through the rain to the Shecky’s event. I hate being negative, but that was the first and the very last of me at one of their events. However, a business woman myself, I have to give them credit for the organization and very successful marketing. My God, these people managed to get money from sponsors and visitors for something that you could get for free at any time in New York City. There were long lines of people waiting to get in. I know, it’s the convenience of many vendors in one place, and the tiny free pink Martinis, but that’s not enough for this girl to go back any time soon. The goodie bag, as you can see in the pic, had some good things, like the Ahava body treat, and surprises like the Colgate toothpaste. I paid $30 for ticket and goodie bag, I expected a lot more than Colgate, o.b. and Monster energy drink. The merchants were many, but most of them the jewelry designers that you see in Soho on every corner. By the way, if I see one more leaf piece of jewelry this spring I am going to scream.
