Sample Sale Productions - Fall Sample Sale Event

You're probably better off hitting up a consignment shop

Here’s the good news about Sample Sale Productions’ Fall Sample Sale Event: there’s plenty of merchandise. We spotted enough Louis Vuitton to outshine all six Real Housewives casts and enough fur to earn you a permanent place on PETA’s enemies list. As promised, there’s a gigantic selection of never and gently worn Chanel and prices are reduced. A Bulgari Nada was selling for $1400, marked down from $2200. Medium-sized Longchamps nylon totes, which generally retail for about $125, were on sale for $99.

Here’s the bad news, which you might have picked up on by now: those prices aren’t all that reduced and, while we’re certainly not implying any dishonesty on the part of the sellers, $516 is awfully steep for a Hermes canvas tote with no certificate of authenticity. A three compartment Chanel bag was classic, but also, $1900 and showing some wear. Things got worse in the clothing section: a gauzy pink skirt had visible stains and lacked any designer label: it could have been Miu Miu and it could have been H&M and $120 is too much to pay if you don’t know the answer. Bottom line: you’re probably better off hitting up a consignment shop. Even the Real Housewives of New Jersey wouldn’t overpay like this.
