Revlon's Diamond Lust Eyeshadow

While I was riding the subway this morning I saw an ad for Revlon’s Diamond Lust, a limited edition eye shadow that’s sheer and sparkly. My immediate reaction to this ad was, “I’ve gotta get me some of that”. The shadow comes in white, champagne, pink, lavender, platinum, gold, bronze and peach. (Curse CVS for being out of the peach!) I went with “Pillow Talk Pink” for something subtle and flirty. It’s very light and you definitely don’t feel like you’re wearing eyeshadow, which is a bonus. It’s not an overbearing shadow and it does give your eyes a diamond-like sparkle, so over all I give it an A.

Diamond Lust is part of a broader line of “Limited Edition” Products, which includes the Sugar Sugar Lip Topping–I hate that they call it lip topping. As if my lips were a pizza. I get what they’re going for–they’re making your lips so sparkly and sugary that someone else will want to eat your face–but I wish they would call it lip gloss and be done with it. Lip topping just sounds to me like something I can live without. But I digress…the Limited Edition line also includes the Dark Pleasures Blacker Lacquer line of nail polish: six shades of nail laquer accented with swirls of black, including the dark plum purple that is in for the fall season. Now that’s something I can get on board with.
