Reem Acra Spring-Summer 2009

My friend Lindsey bought a gorgeous wedding gown by Reem Acra, so we thought it only appropriate that we check out her latest diggs.

I was thrilled to finally see some color on the catwalk! Everything I’d seen up to this point was dark and had a goth edge even though they were Spring lines. Even the hair and makeup at Reem Acra was fresh and breezy like summer, not harsh and dirty like the rest of the looks I’ve seen.

 These textures were to die for. There was pleating mixed with rouching and a lovely combo of fabrics. Sequins in vibrant colors give off an aquatic feel, like fantasy-not like a Vegas casino.

The shapes were all wear-able, nothing too body conscious. And the patterns were really cute too.

And I’ve saved the best for last! Here is my absolute fave! Maybe if I get a bonus for my fabulous fashion week reporting I can scoop one up! 😉
