R. Nichols Stationery Sale. You'll love it.
Being a complete sucker for stationery I didn’t waste a second in checking a stationery brand my friend, Joy, recommended. I was more than pleased at what I found, and I now must add line in my list of ‘favorite new things’.
The stationery is drawn (or rather, cut and pasted) by R. Nichols. If that name sounds hauntingly familiar to you, don’t be shocked. He illustrated the cover of French Women Don’t Get Fat Mireille Guiliano, and has done the same (as well as illustrating pages inside) for the book French Women for All Seasons by the same author.
Whether you’d love to live a Parisian’s life or not (I so would, I would wear chic black berets and drink espresso even though I don’t really care for it), you will still enjoy R. Nichols work. As you should expect from a man who loves sugar cubes, collecting toothpastes from different countries and flip flops – he imbues his art with a sense of bountiful joy as well as a vibrant spirit that you cannot escape (not that you’d want to).
Aside from stationery (which you can have personalized), you can also purchase totes, mugs, desk calendars, wall art, and T-shirts for women or men.
There is a sale section on the site which offers deals like boxes of eight cards for $8.99, down from the original $15.00. You can also find some single cards that were $3.00 and now are $1.49. The holiday cards are also on sale.
If you can’t afford the wall art, I suggest buying different single cards, and then framing them. If you arrange the frames close together on the wall, it will be a very nice statement of some fantastic art.
They’re all cute, and fun, and you’ll probably want them all. I know I do!
