Primed for Perfection

Time to prime, darlings! Primer (whether for face or your eyes) is the kind of product that makes you wonder, ‘how did I function without this product that’s literally saved my life?’ Or, maybe you’re not quite as dramatic – which is good. Either way, primers are great. And while I’m sold on the idea of primers, I’m not sure if I’m sold on the Benefit That Girl Brightening Face Primer. It’s pink…I say, skip this. But we still love you Benefit!(I’m not alone in thinking this.) Someone said they saw this listed as a beauty tip in Lucky Magazine to apply over mineral makeup. Well, that just goes to show you that one girls beauty tip is another girl’s wasted money.

Something that seems to work for virtually anyone is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. The cute purple bottle makes me think that a genie will be unleashed from it – and metaphorically, one is! (The genie of makeup magic, duh.) Smooth this onto your lids to make your eyeshadow not only stay put, but also pop with long-lasted intense color.

I don’t care what your age is – this is supposed to be the BEST primer for your lids, so don’t be a snob. This is the one you want! You might not want the eye shadows or lipsticks that Urban Decay offers if you’re 50 years old, and that’s understandable. But this is different. If I spot you with a ‘mature’ looking option simply because you don’t want to buy a purple bottle – I’m going to…well, do something!

Prescriptives Illuminating Potion Foundation Primer offers you, “liquid illusion with three-dimensional holographic pigments” to make your face look better than you think it can. What does that mean? Well, image if someone was able to permanently photoshop your face to look perfect without being cartoonish – something like that! Of course, this is only permanent for as long as you are wearing the product. Better stock up, eh?
Two types of primers I’m not sure about yet are lip primers and lash primers. Have you used them? What do you think?
