0After yesterday’s Pet Chauffeur post, we decided to do a bit of research on transporting your pets in NYC. We found Pet Taxi, another New York-based business, also offers pets and their owners the opportunity and freedom to get around town. Their rates are slightly cheaper:
$30 one way up to 30 blocks
$35 one way up to 60 blocks
$40 one way up to 90 blocks
$45 over 90 blocks
The company does charge extra for pups in the Bronx and Queens and Brooklyn (rates start at $45), and in Staten Island (rates start at $75).
Another good thing to know about Pet Taxi is that they can ship your pet for you as well. They specialize in international shipping, vaccinations, quarantine, etc. It may sound a little unusual but you never know when you’ll be on vacation in Italy and fall in love with a cute puppy you see outside your hotel …
While the company doesn’t have standard shipping quotes, they do have an online form you can fill out to get a rough estimate of what it would cost.
