Nicole Farhi Retail Sale

70% off Sale at 202

Born in Nice and trained in Paris, Nicole moved to London in the ‘70s to become the most successful British designer. New York, being the Fashion city that it is, has not only a large Nicole Farhi flagship store at 10 E 60th Street but a “202” at 75 Ninth Avenue.

A new concept, 202 combines British fashion and food. Now, stop it, I know the reputation British food has in New York. Every time I go to London I get “warned” by friends that food there sucks. That is just not true. So, to confirm my take on things, at 202 you get the best breakfast in New York and a taste of Nicole’s designs.

It came as a very pleasant surprise though on December 31st, after breakfast, when I discovered that all Nicole Farhi garments and accessories were discounted 70% off.  My husband and I both broke the bank and finished 2007 with a bang. We bought several things but my absolute favorite is a splendid cashmere jacket, double faced fabric, stitched by hand and then processed to give the effect of the same fabric on both sides. It was originally $1395 and when you do the math you will end up just north of $400. I know it’s still a lot of money, but trust me; it is worth every single penny. This is not a paid advertisement, in fact I asked them if I can post something about them and they were very hesitant. Was that a private sale? Not really, but certainly made me feel very special. By the way, you can see Nicole Farhi 2007 collection on the New York Magazine Fashion Week page here

Oh wow, I am utterly jealous of these great deals! Considering the quality you get for that price, it’s practically like stealing. Only, with with prices like these, no one would ever need to take up a life of crime. And if you really had to – you’d have the cutest cat burglar clothes! Me-OW. (P.S. I in no way condone actual stealing! LoL)
