I’ve just discovered this place–Natural Market on Broadway and 46th Street in Astoria. It’s a small organic market that stocks Bob’s Red Mill products, Tazo tea (including varieties that you can’t get at Starbucks), soy milk, organic broth and more. But what’s really great about it is the breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. A ham and cheese croissant will cost you $1.75 and coffee $1 (that’s a better deal than your Starbucks latte already). Organic juices are $3.99 for a large, and soups are $3.79 for 16 oz. (16 oz is the small size at Jamba Juice). There is also a fantastic array of sandwiches and wraps, none of which cost more than $5.95. A soup and sandwich combo is $5. Next time you’re in the neighborhood, check them out!
