Lewis Cho Sample Sale Review 1/18
Waste of time. That is how to sum up Lewis Cho’s 4 rack sample sale held at their office. The flyer boasts “prices starting at $15.” That’s right. $15 for a belt, is all they have for $15. Tops are $25, silk dresses are $75 and so are sweater dresses. Did you get how I wrote the four racks of clothing? I do mean four regular sized racks of clothing is all there is being offered for sale.
If you are a fan of the brand, then fine, go. You will find included in the merchandise the clothes they have for sale in their online shop, at a reduced price (the Jupiter dress online for $229, at the sample sale is it $75). I did see a few more things that caught my “I just came in the rain for this sale, and gave up writing my ‘artist way’ journal pages for this, please let me find something to buy” sweater and dress that were ok, considering the company, but they were not flattering on me. At $75, I would like flattering. There were two other shoppers there when I was there, but, it was lunch and I can’t imagine it was too crowded otherwise. You can change/try on clothes in the back between one of the racks and the wall.
In sum, I really dislike saying very negative things. The brand is not my style, and to go and be desperate for something, and to come back empty handed, I think is an indication of both the variety, and the price of the selection of the merchandise at the sale. They said they may reduce prices tomorrow. Based on turn out, I think they will fare well to do so.
