Lauren Merkin Samples Sale Review 3/15

The Lauren Merkin Sample Sale at their office on 29th St. is good. I know this sale, and it will get even better as they discount prices towards the final day. Unless there is something specific you must have or a handbag, take your chances and wait it out. Lots of clutches will remain. The best deal today, in my opinion, is for those of you that have a black computer, and need an oh so lovely, professional, stylish laptop bag to carry your black computer. The “Abby” is going for $15. Run and get it while you can. Apparently the fuchsia lining may stain your white laptop.

I bought a $15 coupon from Refinery 29 to get in early, and get an additional 25% off. Mini Cassie is $20-25, Paige is $150-225. Most of the clutches are going for $60-125. Beach totes are $35. There are several bins for clutches at $40-60, but those are imperfect condition. They look really good regardless. I know the last day most of the merchandise will be around that range. So is it worth it to get to the bargain bin immediately? There were mostly clutches in those bins, and it seemed as if they were slightly imperfect. I bet there has to be more.

Almost everything that is found on their website, laurenmerkin.com and for sale on the web is here at the sample sale. I found that they were almost all at least 50% off. Most are 70%. When I went this morning, there were about 8 shoppers stocking up. There is one mirror by the cash register. If you go, make sure you allot some time to check out the many discount fresh flower and home garden stores in the neighborhood. Unbelievable! The trip was worth it for that reason alone.

In sum, go today if you want something in particular, or not a clutch. If not, wait. They are restocking, and the prices will drop. For sure, buy some fresh flowers and a new planter on your way home. Color coordinate with your new bag. Surprise your wife?!
