Hermès Sample Sale

Sale is definitely one of those words that are open to interpretation. Unfortunately, my interpretation was not quite reflective of what the Hermes peeps had in mind as they priced the items at the Hermès Sample Sale last week.

I get it. Hermès is one of the top high-end luxury brands. More for less isn’t exactly their mission statement. But with most of the country (or at least me and my gal pals) scrambling for change to fill their gas tanks, I found this sale to be a particularly low blow to my fashion ego.

Ties and those infamous scarves were a steal at $110+

Summer shoes in decent condition were $500+

Randomn items of clothing started around $400

Handbags (which were not so cute) were a cool $700+

Obviously there was nothing relatively similar to the almighty, iconic Birkin bag, I didn’t even get my hopes up there. 

So if you are on the broke side like me, I found a few super-cheap Hermès inspired piece to get you through fall, and the recession.
