1The weather is getting warmer and it seems like the time has come for the formal event. Whether you’re scouring racks for a cocktail dress, or something to wear to that wedding reception, I’ve got a few ideas to help out.
Sometimes I stumble upon a dress that I just need to have because I know there will come a day that I need a dress to wear to something. Looking at this dress, I’m having one of those moments. What I absolutely love about this dress is the fun bubble hem and gold color. Made by BCBG Max Azria, this gown can be picked up at Macy’s ($288).
Need a cocktail dress for a party this spring? Try this cobalt blue option. The model pairs it with black opaque tights. To bring this outfit up to season I suggest either wearing sheer tights or go bare legged. I’d also suggest wearing a bright shoe. (Maybe a yellow?) This Theory dress is on sale at Bloomingdale’s. No one really explained to me that apart of growing up was having to go to your friends wedding receptions. So imagine my surprise when I realized that my friends were still getting married while they were in college and expected me to know what to where. What I love about this black Ralph Lauren dress is that it’s sexy in a very subtle way. You can dress up with bright accessories depending on the type of wedding you have to go to. I love all three of these dresses, Bre. Ah, I don’t know what I like best. Ruffles are very hot right now, so I’m glad you featured those. I’d love to see that dress paired with a bright yellow purse, and a delicate golden pendant.
