For when you youtube

Graciela is my best friend, but sometimes I do wonder if she comes from another planet. She comes up with some crazy ideas like the one about posting on craigslist to find someone who will film her wedding and make a nice movie of it. Ok, so maybe it doesn’t sound crazy but it is crazy because why does she need to hire some complete stranger to do it for her when she can just ask me? I would do it for free and won’t attempt to record people saying things they’ll come to regret. Plus I have this kickass camcorder that I barely get to use (when I’m not making youtube videos of my neighbor’s schizo cat).

It is a Sony Handycam HDR-SR8. It comes with a USB 2.0 port, which means I can hook it up to my laptop and upload videos fast and easy. Not to mention 10x optical zoom and 6.0 megapixels. The compact design makes it super easy to carry, which is especially important when you are traveling and want to capture memories without pinching a nerve. It has a Zeiss lens (for those who don’t know, Zeiss is the Supreme Ruler of Optics) and HDMI output for HD TV. Plus it can run for up to 6 hours on its battery, so I can record the whole wedding without an extension cord. The only thing I don’t like about it is the price. At $1200, you have to be very careful about what you do with that sheet of paper that has your warrantee on it. I always lose those….sigh….
