Flat Boots Are Made For Walking
Autumn is upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about putting (or throwing) away summer’s flip flops and finding footwear that keeps our tootsies dry during gray, wet, rainy days. Every gal knows that boots are great for keeping feeties nice and dry, since they don’t allow water to spill over the top. But boots, with their chunky or spindly heels can be hard to walk in…
…thank GOD flat boots are in right now! What better way to stay dry and avoid snapping your tendons? They’re stylish AND practical. I mean I love wearing boots and everything but sometimes clomping around in big boot heels is too much for my knees. So I’m happy to see flat boots come in style. Don’t worry–this doesn’t mean you have to wear UGGs. The look we’re talking about here is a chic, equestrian style, fit for riding English saddle or just strolling down 5th Avenue. Steve Madden’s classic riding boot can take you seamlessly from work to play, without crushing your toes. Kenneth Cole also makes a solid equestrian boot, and based on Ralph Lauren’s show which has caused such a stir, I think the equestrian look will be in this year.
Just remember to save the riding crop for the bedroom 😉
