Five Minutes of Girl Talk While Shopping Will Do You Good

Alright – I am announcing that it’s time for some self-love. (Minds out of the gutter, please!) So, I’ve decided to have a virtual shopping spree and let you ‘shop with me’ by seeing what I’d like pick, and why. I also included a bit of gossip. Consider this a chance to have a girl-talk moment, whenever you have a spare five minutes. Factor it into your hectic day of coworkers and/or kids, this will let you relax. So would a day at the spa. Let’s schedule those for later this week.
I headed over to Takashimaya-ny.com and saw these little beauties. The shape is what makes me pause and go ‘oooh’. But I must point out that I think the overall effect of these pretties gets lost on the black/black version. The grey option though…veeeerrry niiiice, huh? While we’ve been galavanting everywhere with our big bags (which I think I embraced a bit later than others, but I do enjoy) that hold our entire life, this would make for a nice change of pace. All you need sometimes is your essentials. (Trust me, five lip products are not essentials for one single day or night.)

Malibu Moon Clutch, in Grey or Black ($390.00).

1. Keyboard Patent North/South Tote from Henri Bendel ($395.00). Fashion totes in metallic are on my hotlist because they add an edge to any casual outfit I wear. Check me out, I’m fierce. *Pose*
2. Michael Michael Kors, Astor Grommet shoes from Lord and Taylor ($149.00). I thought I wanted some bright shoes, but black shoes with a chunky heel and funky grommets are so fun. Must have!
3. The Lantess by Puma from Lord and Taylor ($140.00). For the treadmill and walks in the park, I need sneakers. Creamsicle colored ones are way pretty, and I’d wear them a lot more than some ugly pair of basic white ones.
4. Lucky Abby Road Leather Crossboy from Bergdorf Goodmon ($178.00). I’ve been looking for a nice crossbody bag that I can wear with ease and have my hands free for – well, anything. (But not groping strangers.)
I would love to wear a white summer sundress and items 2 + 4. Then again, with item 1 + 4 with jeans and a white ribbed tank, I’d look very athletic glam. I hate numbers – I was never any (ANY) good at math in school, but adding up number combinations like this is actually pretty fun.
Time-out for some gossip:

Have you heard Scarlett Jo’s (Scarlett Johansson) new album? Nylon Magazine gave it super high praise, but other people have said that it’s an assault to the ears. I borrowed a copy from my friend, so we shall see.

Also, I know most of us are always watching our intake of sugary goodies, like chocolate – but I have to share what I had the other night. It was a Russel Stover Internationale chocolate square in the flavor of German Black Forest Truffle. Mmmmm. “Rich dark truffle with a hint of cherry, enrobed by bold dark chocolate and finished with silky milk chocolate.” I bet if you put them in the fridge or freezer they’d be even better.
Okay, enough girl-talk for now.

And hello, can you resist this? It’s the Jimmy Choo Khan Eyelet Hobo from Bergdorf’s ($1,415.00). Made in Italy, this bag is probably more reliable than the gorgeous Italian man you met on your recent summer vacation. Don’t look at me like that. They call them flings for a reason!

I must divulge that I am also majorly coveting the athletic-yet-girly Puma Slingy, which you can read about on HeelCandy.com. It looks like the perfect shoe to slip on when I need to take my dog outside.
