If you’ve ever rehabbed your décor, you know that the game plan is always a state of redesign. So why tackle redecorating with a pencil and eraser when you can go high tech for what it costs you to buy a compass and protractor set. Designer Mark Lewison’s recently launched Mark on Call program ($9.99) lets you play Photoshop with your floor plans at the touch of a finger, literally. The iPhone app simplifies the game of interior design by allowing users to create made-to-measure floor plans for living, dining, bed, and bath rooms all scaled to size. The application comes prepped with a selection of colors for your walls, woods for the floor, and patterns for the upholstery so you can play collage with your interiors until it looks just right. But this isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal as you can snap pics of your fabric, flooring, and finishing inspirations that you come across on your décor field trips and insert them onto the floor plans. Launched just a month ago, professional decorators are already snapping up the program to show clients different color/fabric/flooring schemes, according to the L.A.-based designer. So do-it-yourselfers lacking decorator budgets: on your Mark, get set, go!
