Decadent and Affordable : The Simply Vera line of Bedding

Well ladies, I’m sending you over to Kohls.com, again. Vera Wang’s exclusive line for Kohl’s, Simply Vera, makes bedding, which I say is a reason to spill something on your current comforter and sheet set! (But don’t, you can always donate it somewhere.) I have been to the store twice, recently (and I didn’t even want to go), and both times I felt an odd force propelling me towards the section in the bedding department. The first time, I didn’t even know it was Vera’s line, I just knew that it was gorgeous. And it is.

Since you spend at least seven hours a night in bed to ward off under-eye circles (even a good concealer can only do so much!) I think it’s a good investment to buy sheets with a high thread count once you can afford them. A higher thread count translates to a better quality of sheet. Simply Vera offers different sizes of sheets (full, queen, king) in two different styles. If you’re serious about buying quality sheets and pillowcases, this is a good place to buy them. It’s all on sale, right now. And going fast!

A 300-thread count silk cuff standard pillowcase by this line is normally $59.99, but it’s on sale for $34.99. You can find 300-thread count pillowcases for cheaper, but the style and colors will not be as nice. Remember, this isn’t an article on ‘good pillowcases for less’, this is an article about ‘Vera Wang bedding for less.’

Good quality pillowcases are nice for your face and hair, as they won’t make your hair frizz as much as a normal one, and they don’t tug at your skin as you move during sleep.

However, if your hair isn’t that important to you, forgo the pillowcases (only a pure silk pillowcase will really help your facial skin). From the above link, you can view the full selection that this line has in the way of bedding. If you want one of the white coverlets or comforters, you could probably spend less at another store on a very similar product. The material might not be exactly as nice, but you don’t sleep on it.

What you won’t be able to find exact replicas of are the Blossom Comforter and the Blossom Coverlet – which are both this delicious orchid/pink color.

The other items you won’t find exact replicas of are the accent pillows. Now, I’m just crazy about accent pillows. I have far too many, and I alternate them with the season. All of the accent pillows offered here are beautiful.

I recommend the Blossom Floral Decorative pillow which has wonderful floaty chiffon flower petals sewn onto it. Similar to that in a different hue is the Bronze Flower pillow which I think is also a good buy. For those who thrive on drama and the nightlife, I recommend the City Night Flower square pillow and City Night Eyelash pillow. View those, here.
