Chocolate without Calories
This Easter, I received a really decadent milk chocolate bunny from a special chocolate shop. I haven’t finished it because I’m savoring it the way chocolate should be eaten. However, I know that my chocolate cravings won’t be subsided once the bunny is gone. But I simply cannot eat chocolate with my every craving. Maybe if my metabolism was super fast I could… But it isn’t!
So, one of the options is using chocolate beauty products. They have the yummy chocolate scent, and your waistline won’t look any larger from prolonged use. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Laura Mercier has the Chocolate Truffle Creme Body Wash at Bergdorf Godoman ($36.00). Smell sweet all day long. Follow that up with…
Chocolate Truffle Souffle Body Creme by Laura Mercier ($55.00). It’s a moisturizer that is silky smooth but not greasy or heavy. Doubling a scent is always a great idea, especially since you should moisturize once you get out of the shower. It would be a shame to have to use some other lotion and loose the great smell you got from
the Truffle Creme Body Wash.
Of course, chocolate also looks great when worn. Brown is a great color. I think I’ve found my new favorite product, and I haven’t tried it yet. I have heard nothing but overwhelmingly good reviews of the Stila Smudge Pot in Brown (Chocolate). The concept seems as ambitious as Elle Woods plan to go to Harvard Law School. But she got in, and this stuff works wonderfully. It combines what you like about a pencil liner, with what you like about a liquid liner. While you can easily smudge it around your eye for a soft look – once it drys it won’t smudge anymore. Which means, no weird raccoon eyes. You can vary the intensity of the amount of color you use, which I love since I don’t want to have the same looking eyes every day.
I’ve been skipping my dark black eyeliners in favor of brown ones, so this is perfect. Embarrassingly enough, I got the idea after seeing the TV show Ghost Whisperer. The lead, Jennifer Love Hewitt, always has these really romantic and starling eyes. I analyzed them, and it was brown she was wearing: brown liner and shadow!
The Stila Smudge Pot in Chocolate ($18.00) is so popular that it’s currently out of stock, but you can have them send you an e-mail reminder when they get it back in stock. Like your own personal shopper! …That makes me way too excited, huh?
