If you are in need of two black-tie gowns get there NOW
Let’s get this out of the way right up top: if you are currently in need of two black-tie gowns, first, lucky you, and second, get to the Adrienne Landau sample sale STAT. Floor length gowns are $399 each, which isn’t that exciting until you realize they’re two for $500. Oh, and they’re beauties: we spotted a dramatic crimson Lela Rose with origami-esque folds and a show-stopping Melinda Eng, the bodice of which is fully covered with peacock feathers.
Other than pageant contestants and those whose friends are having extraordinarily fancy weddings (those two groups comprising our best guess as to who needs multiple gala gowns), it’s hard to think of who would really enjoy the Adrienne Landau sale. Sure, a white faux fur chub is alluring in a ski bunny way, but $125? For faux fur? At a sample sale? Real fur vests are a better bet: a mink is $225 and leopard and chinchilla versions are a relative steal at $175. Things get more expensive when you add sleeves: a short leopard coat will run you a cool $375. At those prices, you’re better just dropping in for the gowns – but only if you’re getting two. – Leila Cohan-Miccio

When beauty products double up their duties
We at DailyVogue.com stand for beauty products that deliver, without (unnecessarily) breaking your wallet. Let’s face it. We women do need to invest time and money to make us look pretty. It’s not always easy to find the time to do it. When we read about this new generation of hybrid products, that make a splash successfully multitasking their tasks; we literally ran to our laptops to report. You’ve heard about the tinted moisturizers – probably most of you have one already (guilty as charged). But have you heard about the age-reverse eye shadow primers?
These are just a few of the items featured in the press recently. And the ones, we think, would appeal to you the most.

Enter the Tusk sample sale, keep a hint of summer in your wardrobe.
After what felt like the longest, hottest summer in years, fall has firmly announced its arrival. Sure, you might spend an hour every morning debating whether you can get by with a sweater or if its finally time to break out your new winter coat, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep a hint of summer in your wardrobe. Enter the Tusk sample sale, happening now.
From the moment you walk into the back room of Tusk’s Chelsea flagship, where the sale takes place, you’re transported into the not-so-distant past when bright, punchy colors were as ubiquitous as, well, punch. What the stock lacks in rock bottom prices, it makes up for in selection. A bevy of wallets in coral, teal, and apple green (for starters) run from 35-60 and, while the size varies, all have enough card pockets to accommodate even the most obsessive of joiners. Makeup cases are $40 and well-sized and retro clasp change purses are a mere $15. Handbags will cost you a bit more: the purses start at $50 for tiny cross-bodies and clutches and run all the way to $225 for giant, buttery soft hoboes in muted shades of nude and periwinkle. Our best bet? Suede structured bi-color doctor bags for $195. The color combinations (like brick red and purple) pop gorgeously. Summer colors in a winter fabric: sounds like the perfect thing for fall.
