The mask at the top is the Winter Branch Mask, which is silvery and looks to have some garnet colored berries for decoration. The mask to the right of that, with the tall plume, is the Black Feather Mask. It’s all in black, which gives it a huge dramatic effect. Although there is one silver ornamental piece on it, as well as some lining the eye slits. Next to that is the golden Butterfly Mask which is brimming with nature. The final mask for sale is the Peacock mask. With peacock feathers on your head – you’ll never feel so divine.

I would snap one of these up for a Halloween or New Years Even party for 2008, or even just for decoration on a shelf or dresser top.

It’s hard to find cute hats that are affordable. For that reason, I tend to ‘borrow’ my sister’s black faux mink fur hat in the winter, whenever she’s in town. Good news for her- I may be able to stop. On Freepeople.com there are select sale items, some of which include some great hats. They’re on sale because the store is ready to bring in the spring stuff, which is awesome for us – since winter is still going on and our poor heads need some warmth.

I wince at pictures of myself as a younger girl, wearing horrible pink earmuffs. Had I been so lucky to have a nice hat, those pictures would be a lot less wince-worthy. Many women forget to splurge on hats because they fear they’ll upset their hair. Well, sometimes they do, but as you know – you lose most of the heat of your body from your head. So, in the winter, you need a hat! And naturally, you want the hat to be stylish.
