Capturing That Good Ol' Summer Feeling

The scent that triggers my mind to my idea of the ultimate summer is that of coconut. Blame it on years of my doting mother insisting that I slather on sunscreen from a brown bottle with the unmistakable coconut scent. I swear I wanted to lick it off of my arms, it smelled so good.

Sense of smell is the most powerful sense we have, especially when it comes to trying to jog a memory (which is an odd phrase). Even if you’re stuck in the city behind a desk full of papers where the massive ‘out’ box is never going to be taller than the ‘in’ box, you can still find a way to experience a divine ‘toes-in-the-sand’ summer feeling by dabbing on a coconut lotion. I’m almost positive it will ‘up’ your mood. (Another mood-lifter is sneaking some spoonfuls of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream during lunch. I love the banana-flavored Chunky Monkey.)
