Cafe Con Leche

Cafe Con Leche is a Cuban restaurant that has good food and interesting cocktails–$8 will buy you a cocktail served in a hollowed out pineapple (which you can gnaw at when you’re done eating it–just be wary of passersby who will give you askance glances). $10 will buy you a dish of Cuban style garlic shrimp. And soups for around $3 for a small and $5 for a large. The plaintains were good but not the best I’ve had. Still, a nice place especially in warm weather: there’s a nice patio out front where you can pretend for a fleeting moment that you’re at a sidewalk cafe in Havana.
