Adampluseve and Cynthia Vincent Sample Sale

The Adampluseve and Cynthia Vincent sample sale ends tomorrow, Saturday December 15th. I cased the joint earlier today. The first thing you’ll see when you walk in is a table displaying shoes, all of which are made in Italy, as the man working the table informed me. When I asked him if he had a wide variety of sizes he said it “depends on which shoe you choose. That’s the nature of a sample sale.” I admit I detected some attitude on his part; of course, you had to be there–it was the way he said it. The shoes were pretty, and I could tell they were well made,  but at $120 for flats and $150 for heels I couldn’t afford them, so I moved on. They had a wide selection of peacoats, skirts, dresses, tops and pants, all of which are beautifully made and some of which are of fine, delicate fabrics. The downside is that most of the pieces ranged in size from 0 to 2. Additionally, most of the pieces looked like they could’ve been designed for Leighton Meester’s character on Gossip Girl. So if you’re a size zero and like to look like Upper East Side old money, check out the sale. If not, well, the guy working the coat check is cute 😉
