A High-Quality Houndstooth Coat Under $20.00

Steve & Barry’s is a store that offers constantly low prices that astound their customers. Recently Sarah Jessica Parker started her BITTEN collection, much to my delight. Affordable clothes designed from the mind of the woman who portrayed Carrie Bradshaw, herself? I mean, forget Carrie for a second (don’t worry, only for a second!) – Sarah Jessica has a fabulous sense of style. You can see that for yourself from any red carpet photo. I’m a big fan of hers, and I think you will be too once you see these products and prices. (Nothing is over $19.99.)

I think that Sarah Jessica realized how much fun it was to have different looks during her years on the show Sex and the City and wanted to help give that experience to other girls and women. But she knew that the majority of us can’t afford the clothes Carrie wore. And she also knew that there weren’t an abundance of great clothes out there at really affordable prices. Thanks to her, there are more.

Take this Houndstooth coat, for example:

It is exactly $19.98. The great thing about the BITTEN collection is that it comes in sizes XS – XXL, which means this is a piece for any woman. As is with most every piece in the collection, a woman of any age can wear this. The quality is very high, and a classic piece like this is a wonderful investment. If you prefer a more tradition look, pair this with other classic pieces – maybe even a strand of pearls. For a funkier, Uptown look, wear some textured tights and knee-high boots as well as a brightly colored purse.

Steve & Barry’s does not currently have a catalog or a way to purchase things online so they can devote their resources to other departments at this time. So, armed with your zip code – find the store nearest you: here.

Ciao for now,

Jessica

I’ve seen it in a store the other day. It looks nice, but what’s going to happen next year? This year everything looked funny on me, being that I am not 15 anymore. Looking funny when you wear trendy staff is OK, but once the trend is gone, you just look ridiculous.

Well, the great thing about a Houndstooth pattern on anything is that the pattern actually dates back to being popular even back in the 30’s. Some years it might be more trendy, but this coat really is always in style. The pattern is classic, and the colors make it so wearable! Give it a second look 😉 Plus, for 20 dollars? It’s so affordable!

I love S&B’s! I got a pair of sneakers from her bitten line that are pretty cute and they’re completely waterproof (unlike my $55 Sketchers) for only $8.95. I also got a really warm down coat from there for under $10.

Man, this makes me want to go spend the gift card I got for Christmas. 😛

Ooh, always nice to shop for free with gift cards 🙂 If you want to save your Sketchers (or any future shoes) you can buy this waterproof spray for it. They sell it all over, especially any place that’s selling UGGs, but I picked up two cans of it at Payless (where I got a pair of basic black boots to trudge through snow) that is just as good, but probably five dollars cheaper per can. That’s ten dollars I can put forward on a new bag at Urban Outfitters 🙂

Hey, Sarah. I love your Houndstooth coat that I saw at Steven & Barry’s the only bad thing is that I was going to go back in two weeks to buy it when I got paid and now there’s no more. I know that I can get another one, but not for under $20. Is there anyway that I can buy one from you at the same price? ebay is selling it for $39.

I live in Columbus, Georgia 31907 and the store is on Macon Rd. I don’t think that this is one of the stores going out of business, but I’m not sure. Please email me back!!!!
