Grey + Beige = Greige
If you haven't heard of it, you haven't been paying attention to the "haves" for spring and fall 2010. Grey plus beige is here to stay.
, New York, NY
Like people, make-up goes through mood stages and currently, it’s feeling greys and beige. Maybe you caught a glimpse of the neutral nails on Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 runway show or noticed Lily Allen’s digits doused in a greige via Chanel. Lauren Conrad, Sandra Bullock and Brooklyn Decker all opted for the same Chanel shade called Particulière. O.P.I. for Sephora has a popular color called Metro Chic that was the fashion editor favorite for spring.
And eye shadows to boot. Dior has a grey and beige set called Incognito and LORAC makes a trio called Starry-Eyed Baked Eyeshadow. I love NARS Ashes to Ashes (violet brown with shimmer) for both day and night. When using greys, beige and taupes on eyes, be sure to line your lids with something darker – plum, brown or slate – to make your eyes stand out.
One place not suitable for greys are your lips. Stick with springs fun fuchsias, reds or leave ’em a bit el natural.
