Maybe it’s a nod to the two decades prior or because our red lipstick has us feeling bold, but this season’s brows are sure to wow. Alright, we’ve actually been thrice blessed as bold brows made their debut on the Fall 2007 RTW runways. This fall, though, we’re determined to perfect those achy-breaky arches, but to do so requires some guidance. I mean, we can’t very well sport barely there brows with biker boots and boyfriend blazers. This seasons brows should fit the mood, the attitude and make a confident statement. Think bold. Think natural. Think Brooke Shields.

How to perfect brazen brows takes a bit of practice. That means practice before you debut your new brows for your Wednesday night dinner date. And yes, it is a bit shocking as it changes your look. To avoid looking too harsh, choose an eyebrow pencil one shade lighter than your natural color. Fill in any thin spots in your eyebrows and add a some length on the ends. If you’re looking to achieve fullness, blend with a thin eyeliner brush just outside your god-given brow line. Blending helps you avoid hard, sharp lines creating a natural enhancer. For evening, you can make the lines a bit more angular and defined, but daytime – the office, bright lighting, etc. – calls for the softer version.
