Nanette Lepore Samples Sale

For me every Nanette Lepore purchase feels like a unique treasure I picked up while on vacation in Paris – even though it’s usually from the Soho store or Bloomie’s 2nd floor. This week’s Nanette Lepore sample sale has plenty of her girly, embellished pieces. Colorful shifts are $150. There are tables of decorative tops for $95 and sweaters for $75-95. Coats are $230 (the selection of these is a bit limited) and jackets are $190. There is also a nice selection of shoes. An adorable pair of embellished flats is $50, heels are $75. A girl could easily put her spring/summer wardrobe together here.

It got a little crowded, particularly as I tried to navigate the racks with two bulky bags in tow so best to travel light. The merchandise is well-organized and tidy and there is a good range of sizes. There is a changing area. And the sales people are friendly and helpful – something I am finding increasingly rare at NYC sample sales. This sale is a must for any Nanette Lepore-loving New Yorker.
