Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
, New York, NY
We’ve looked around for something “affordable” to do on Thanksgiving Day. That’s not an easy task when we are talking about New York. So we went to AOL Local City Search see what they have to say. No, I am not endorsing them, but if you learn to ignore the so called “10 best lists” that are amost always paid advertisements, turns out AOL City Search can be a a good scource of information–a starting point, anyway. That’s what they had to say about Macy’s Parade: “A spectacle unlike any other, the parade welcomes the holiday season with a whimsical cavalcade of floats and balloons. It kicks off at 77th Street and Central Park West, and winds its way down to Herald Square. If you want to catch all the action in person, stake a spot along the route as early as 6:30AM. Bringing folding chairs and other bulky items is strongly discouraged for security reasons. Almost as popular as the parade itself is the balloon inflation, on West 77th Street, the evening before the parade.— S. Jhoanna Robledo” As I am cooking this year(and every year, for that matter), I will not be able to be there, but I welcome any review of the event. Thank you.
