In Living Color

Take a page from the fashionable set this spring and shop in your own closet… linen closet that is! The easiest way to add to your space without any big ticket purchases is with a little splash of color. So find some basic white linens that have seen better days and for a few dollars you can iDye your fabrics to look like any shade of the rainbow (30 shades for 100% natural fabrics and 8 shades for polyesters and nylons). Whereas most dyes have you breaking out the pots, iDye lets you dye it in the wash which means you won’t be accidentally dying your own clothes while trying to do it yourself on a stovetop. Just toss the dye packet in water to dissolve and add 2-3 pounds of fabric. Top it off with some salt for cotton, linen, and rayon fabrics or white vinegar for silk and wool. Then you just run your cycle like normal and your newly dyed linens will be finished. And no worries if you’re a first time DIYer, a little mess up can be easily fixed with their Color Remover packet which dissolves in water and lightens the color of fabrics.
