Fashionistas from both sides of the village, all sporting their gladiator sandals and rayban glasses, were fighting over the fabulous boots, heels, and dresses strewn across the chaotic 4th floor Dolce Vita showroom, across the street from the boutique (154 Ludlow). From black faux-croc calf-high boots for $75 (2 for $100), to thick satin cocktail dresses in jewel toned greens and purples, the selection on the first day of the sale was pretty great. My favorite items were a pair of white and gray faux snakeskin pumps for $35 (2 for $50), and a white, tiered lace tank dress with a wide blue velvet ribbon around the waist. Sadly, a recent splurge on foldable Rayban wayfarers and Goldsign skinny jeans had left me with nothing to spend, despite the incredible and tempting deals surrounding me.
